TUR BUDAYA #32015

                

                I will tell you about Tur Budaya #32015. On April 3^rd, I went to Bali for study tour with all XI grader students. First, we all gathered in the North of Bandung station at 17.30. We were praying Maghrib and then the train departed at 20.00 using Turangga . In the train, we spent our trip with playing cards, sing, take pictures, and told many stories.

                The second day April 4th we arrived at Gubeng Train Station in Surabaya safely. We brought our carriage and got in the bus. We went to Pelabuhan Ketapang. After a while we stopped at the restaurant for pray and lunch, and some took a bath. Then we continued our trip to Ketapang Harbor and meanwhile in the middle of trip we took a dinner and pray at Grafika Banyuwangi Restaurant. Then we continued our trip, at 20.30 WIB we arrived at Ketapang Harbor and cross over using ferry, it took about 2 hours. When we arrived at Gilimanuk Harbor, we continued our trip using bus again. Finally, after such a long trip we could have some rest at Nirmala Hotel, and we took a rest. My roommates we Dinda, Hanifa, and Anjani. We were really tired because our long trip, so we took a bath and we ate some food and after that we slept at 3am.

The third day April 5th ,we got our morning call at around 05.00 in the morning. We got up, got ready, and go to breakfast together. After everything is done, we boarded a bus heading to Tanjung Benoa for playing watersport. Watersport that I choose is parasailing, banana boat and jetski. It was my first time rode a jet ski and it was really fun! And it was my first time too played parasailing, at first it's really nerve wrecking but after you up in the sky it all gone. You can saw the sea from up sky and the scenery are beautiful.  After all is done playing, we showered, changed clothes, and lunch together in Tanjung Benoa. After that,  we went to Pudjamandala for having a pray then we continued to go to GWK. At Pudjamandala we pray Zuhr for a Muslim. Afterwards, we immediately to Garuda Wisnu Kencana. At the GWK held games searched for items with the clue in blue and yellow. We also take a photos there. At the GWK also we watched the kecak dance performances for about an hour. After the show finished we went to Jimbaran Bay, and about twenty o'clock we arrived at there. Then we had a seafood diner, at there we played game named "Sing a Song". At first it looked boring then after many song played, all of us come to front and dancing all night long. And the top was when Clarity being sang. At 21.30 we went back to the buses and returned to the hotel for rest.

The fourth day April 6th, 2014, as usual there is a morning call at 05.00 in the morning and had breakfast together. The first destination was Desa Adat Penglipuran to see the lives of the citizens there. Then we continued our trip to Puncak Batur Kintamani , we had a lunch in there and the food were all you can eat. The taste of food really delicious, if i had more space in my stomach i would eat all. After that, we continued to Sukowati, we were given time 40 minutes to found a gift shop that we want, but i didn't buy anything in there. Then about 40 minutes spend for shopping, we went back to hotel because we had to prepare for "Makrab" themed 32015 award. At nineteen o'clock we went to ballroom and had Makrab. When Makrab there were awards to the nomination of the category specified. The PIRATES got 6 awards from 20 awards. Such tergalak, termaskot, tertidur, termacho, tercasual, and teraktif.

                At Makrab there were show many performance from our ekskul music, and also perfomance from Zhagam. Zhagam band was consist of Zharfan, Hanifa, Anjani, Ghalib, Alza, and Mutia entitled rendition of the their creations as they win in the song contest. Makrab ended with watched videos that makes us remember that we've been together almost 2 years. It was sad but there is still 1 more years later. Then the party finished at twelve o'clock, and we were back to our room and took a rest.

                The fifth day April 7th , and like yesterday we got our morning call at 05.15 and had breakfast together again. We checked out from Nirmala Hotel, then went to Pandawa beach, because we had first flight we just spend one hour in that beach. Pandawa beach was beautiful beach and relatively clean. On the beach I was canoeing with friends. Although the clothes being wet but i felt happy. And then, we continued to Krisna Sunset Road. I bought some souvenir such pie susu, clothes and other. After finished shopping we went to Ngurah Rai Airport, and we had lunch on the bus while headed to the airport. About 14.45 we take off from Ngurah Rai of Bali, sadly it seems Turbud was finished, then we arrived at Husein Sastra Negara Airport Bandung. And we went home.

INSPIRATIONAL STORY : "UP" MOVIE

            There were so many good lessons in this movie. But there were two lessons in the movie that made me think a lot of my own life, as well as the human heart.

            It was incredible how Pixar was able to sum up a person’s life just within the first 20 minutes of the movie. Carl Fredricksen, the main character in the movie, finally arrives at Paradise Falls and fulfills the lifelong dream of his wife, Ellie. As Carl sits in the chair and pulls out Ellie’s scrapbook called, “My Adventure Book,” he realizes for the first time that the greatest adventure for her was being together with him. Ellie had filled the scrapbook with photos of memorable moments together throughout their marriage.

            It was at this moment that Carl realizes that he has been living for a “dream” but all the while his wife was living the dream with him. This realization allows him to find inspiration for living life with a greater purpose. So often, we always live for that “one day” which causes us to miss out on life and fail to enjoy and live passionately for today.

            The second lesson that stuck out for me was discovered in the young boy name Russell (side note: it was good that they had an Asian character as one of the main characters). We notice the character development of Russell as we begin to find out about his absentee father. It is not clear if his parents are divorced or not but all we know is that he is not involved in Russell’s life.

            We quickly discover that Russell’s eager desire to earn the last merit badge, as part of the Wildlife Explorer Club was to please his father and somehow earn his approval. It is amazing how many people in this world so desperately long to be approved by their fathers. This was poignantly highlighted when they were giving out the badges and all the other boys had their fathers present, while Russell was alone. It is also important to note that all the other boys did not have as many badges as Russell. Somehow Russell thought that by receiving all the badges that a Wildlife Explorer can achieve that his father would love him more and come to the ceremony.

            But this did not happen.Instead, when the badge was about to be given to Russell, Carl joins him on stage, as a surrogate father. Then instead of the “assisting the elderly” badge of honor, Carl gives Russell the pin that was given to him by his late wife, Ellie.
This was a glimpse of the Gospel message

MOVIE REVIEW: "INSIDIOUS"

The teacher Josh Lambert and his wife Renai move with their three children, the boys Dalton and Foster and the baby Cali, to a big house. When Dalton is exploring the attic, he falls from the ladder and hits the head on the floor. On the next morning, Dalton does not wake up and stays in coma, but the doctors are not able to diagnose his problem. Three months later, weird things happen in the house and Renai sees apparitions. She is sure that the house is haunted and convinces Josh to move to another house. Sooner Renai sees ghosts in the new house and Josh does not believe in his wife. But his mother Lorraine tells him that she had also had a vision of a fiend in Dalton's room. They invite the medium and Lorraine's old friend Elise Rainier, who brings her team of ghost hunters Specs and Tucker to investigate the supernatural phenomenon. Elise explains that Dalton is a traveler with the ability of leaving his physical body and travel in astral projection. Now his spiritual body is lost in a place called Further that is not for the living and entities are gathered trying to get inside his empty physical body. Among these entities there is a demon that needs Dalton's body to cause pain to the others. Further, Lorraine discloses that Josh is also a gifted traveler and must seek out Dalton in Further and bring him back.

FIRE RAINBOWS

“Fire Rainbows” are neither fire, nor rainbows, but are so called because of their brilliant pastel colors and flame like appearance. Technically they are known as circumhorizontal arc - an ice halo formed by hexagonal, plate-shaped ice crystals in high level cirrus clouds. The halo is so large that the arc appears parallel to the horizon, hence the name.

Brightly colored circumhorizontal arc occur mostly during the summer and between particular latitudes. When the sun is very high in the sky, sunlight entering flat, hexagon shaped ice crystals gets split into individual colors just like in a prism. The conditions required to form a “fire rainbow” is very precise – the sun has to be at an elevation of 58° or greater, there must be high altitude cirrus clouds with plate-shaped ice crystals, and sunlight has to enter the ice crystals at a specific angle. This is why circumhorizontal arc is such a rare phenomenon.

The position of the observer is also important. Circumhorizontal arcs cannot be seen in locations north of 55°N or south of 55°S. Likewise there are certain times of the year when they are visible. For example, in London, England the sun is only high enough for 140 hours between mid-May and late July. While in Los Angeles, the sun is higher than 58 degrees for 670 hours between late March and late September.

Circumhorizontal arcs should not be confused with Iridescent clouds, which can produce a similar effect. While circumhorizontal arc occur only in cirrus clouds, iridescence often occur in altocumulus, cirrocumulus clouds and lenticular clouds but very rarely in cirrus clouds.
